Minins And Minois: Part 2

"Naomi" Carmen's voice said. I opened my eyes to find his face inches from mine. He sighed in relief when I looked at him.
"Are you okay? Is your head hurting? What happened? You just fell? Are you really okay? You look pale! I called your dad! What happened? Naomi?" Carmen said, talking faster than usual.
Groaning, I sat up slowly. "I'm okay." I replied, rubbing my temple with the tips of my fingers. There was a knock at my door. Gosh that man was fast.
"For an old man you sure are fast" I called out. He took it as acceptance because the door opened not long later. My father's men stayed outside which I was glad of, I didn't want them seeing me like this, but his Minoi followed him in. Lajos was a pure back minoi who held his head high and his deep brown eyes seemed to asses your every move.
"Thank you, Carmen" My father said as he got to his knees beside me. When I smiled to show him I was alright, he smiled back which made his face crinkle up. His deep brown eyes seemed to have relief hiding in their depths but he kept his smile normal looking.
"Father, I'm sorry" I sighed. I knew him being here meant that he had been dragged away from his morning meeting and he hated when that happened.
He hushed me. "It is fine, my little flower." He replied. He had called me that since I was little. "I'm glad Carmen called for me"
"Don't be sorry for dragging Nicholas out of the meeting, Naomi. He is your father and fathers would do anything for their daughters" Lajos said. Yep, Minoi's can talk. Upon saying this Lajos made his way over to Nikah, his own daughter, and his normal tense stance became much more relaxed as he assessed her.
"We have to be careful and take precautions, you know that, Naomi. You are the first girl. Having both a Minin and her Minoi being rare can be harmful, you know that." He looked down now, hiding his pain. "I don't want to lose you." He whispered.
"I know, Father. I just fainted, that's all. You don't need to rush to my side, you have other people to look after, people in more peril then me." I replied.
"I know." He sighed, looking at me now.
"Master Minin," I addressed him. "I am a loyal servant. Forever will I serve you, forever will I aid you and forever will I respect you. I am loyal to how you rule and will never overthrow that. I am ready to serve as an under to you" I said. It was an oath that most minin's said to their head Minin and I knew my father hated it but this time it made him smile.
"Now, go see to your meeting. It is nearing breakfast and you need to finish before then" I said.
He nodded then kissed me on the cheek. "I'd be lost without you, daughter." He whispered then got up and left, with Lajos trailing behind him.
"Too nice" Carmen commented as soon as the door shut.
"Shut it, you!" I replied then smiled, "Better?"
"Much" he laughed.

Having my father as leader of our Minin clan, the biggest minin clan in the world, meant that I had constant protection but it also meant that I was always being watched to see if I would make any bad moves, which I did a lot. Carmen and Creena are two of my protectors, as well as Delcie and her minoi Claus. My father persisted that I had protection and the only two that joined up for it were my best friends so it meant that not only could they see me MUCH more but they could make sure that I was safe from harm, well that was the deal.
