Because all my parents do is yell at me and my step mum is a evil bitch and she's refusing to do my washing but won't tech me how to use the washing machine so I can was my school uniform @maunder
@TheOneThatGotAway Folk might tell me off for not telling to to separate your colours but I find most garments are pretty well colour-fast and shouldn't run (though I'd take more care with newer clothes that haven't been washed so much; especially jeans). I've heard turning clothes inside out can marginally reduce colour fading so tend to do that myself. Separating your whites is always a good idea though. Look on the front of your washing machine for any info on the different programs. Me being lazy and not have any particularly awkward clothes, I tend to pick a short cycle: basically an program that indicates it might be an every-day wash and won't take forever to complete. Set this with the appropriate dial. Ignite the spin and rinse cycle options as these are only if you need to do an additional rinse or if you want to try and get more water out with an extra spin. For temperature, unless you're trying to get stains out, a cool wash (30 degrees) will be sufficient. Again, you will probably have a dial or something for this. Open the drawer for the detergent. There will probably be separate compartments for detergent, conditioner and bleaching agents. You won't be adding bleaches normally but see if there are any symbols in those compartments that indicate if it is for detergent or conditioner. You can probably see which sections are most used by residue form previous washes. Add your detergent (and conditioner if you use it). Amounts may be directed on your detergent packaging but I tend to use a rule of thumb and just over half fill the tray. As I say, I'm lazy like that but I have clean clothes ;-) Your load should leave maybe 1/4 space in the drum. With your washing in, detergent in, program set, find the on switch and you may have a separate start switch too. This is VERY general directions so if the issue is more about using that specific model, google the model and see what you can find out. Not the most entertaining way to spend the end of your weekend bu
Washing aside; if it needs to be said then let's say it: you're not worthless! No one is. I often feel this way too for other reasons, but always recognise that despite how is feel, my life still has worth. So too does yours. I can't speak for your domestic situation. For all I know, your step mum may be horrid OR you might provoke things, it's not for me to say. If your folks reprimand you I imagine and hope it is done out of love and concern for you, even if that's not always clear. I hope things settle for you and you and your family get along, but try not to let that affect your self image. I don't know you, but I promise you that you are not worthless!!
