Who am I

I am I

Who are ye

Ye are ye

Now stand down

Bow thy head

A silent prayer

A divine wish

A positive charge

Enwrapped in silver

Soaring past the clouds

To the hands of His

Pulling it close

He listens to my plea

A small ask

I need to say

One single word

I'm on my knees

My head is to the ground

At the altar I kneel before

A rosary in one

A bible in the other

Tears of pain

Seep past my eyelids

I ask of one thing

I have made my sacrifice

Now I ask for yours

A single hand lifted

Cupped and waiting

I ask the for help

In my empty hand

Waiting and outstretched

A white dove appears

A olive branch in its beak

Dropping its gift in my hand

It soars back to the heavenly hand

My prayer answered

I return home

Made amends

Repented sins

At peace

With thy self and

Thy others

The gift of the olive branch

Which now sits on my dresser

Candles all around

Each lit every hour

A basket holds my gifts to you

In this rocking chair I sit

Every day I pray

All my thanks will never be enough
