In the mirror I see...
Me
My clothes is in tatters
My feet are bare
My hair is messy
My face has smudges of grim
My body is like a skeleton
My arms have bruises
My legs have sores
But what haunts me the most is that
My eyes are blank-hopelessness fills them- I'm just a empty husk of a person
Then I blink
And…
Im back to me
I stare back at the mirror
I see myself and
I see my clothes clean and crisp
I see Adidas on my feet
I see my hair in braids
I see my face clean
I see a fit body
I see my more or less flawless skin
I see my legs sore less
I see my eyes tear filled and scared- my life is something I should cherish- I have a home, clothes, and food that I don't appreciate.
I see myself looking back at me and I know I need to change for the good.
