They say the darkest hour, is just before the dawn,
When all the land is quite, when all the light is gone.
They say this is the time, when the monsters like to play,
The witches and the werewolves, the dragons and the fey.
They all step out to witness, the silence and the peace,
This is their only chance, to dance and play and feast.
So run my little darlings, heed what I'm about to say,
Don't be caught in the dark, lest the monsters get their way.
