"Is it with Claire or Jonah?" I asked him.
"Jonah," he answered. "Hes lost a very high amount of blood and he has O negative blood."
"Whats that mean?" I asked.
"He has a really rare type of blood," Alyssa answered. "Its usually in very high demand but never available." she turned to the doctor. "Is it?"
He frowned. "We are doing the best we can do."
I sighed. "That... That isnt good."
Alyssa shook her head. "You arent wrong."

We were gonna visit Claire, but she was getting a treatment done. I havent seen her awake since the fire, and I really wanted to make sure she was okay.
".... And besides, its getting late anyways." Alyssa finished.
I was too distracted thinking about Claire and Jonah to pay attention. "Huh? um, yeah totally." i replied.
Alyssa laughed and punched me playfully in the shoulder.
"Hey! Dont distract the driver!" I joked.
"Well you werent listening."
"Hey," I laughed. "Why do you let me drive your car anyways?"
"I trust you Ian." I smiled.
"Thanks."
"Hey," she looked at me, grinning. "You promised to take me to the sycamore tree at night!"
I sighed. "Does it have to tonight?"
"Um... Well I guess not," she pouted.
"Im sorry Alyssa," I apoligized. "Im just really tired, weve been running around all day yesterday and today.."
"Oh!" she responded. "Yeah I understand!"
I smiled. "Great."

I pulled up in my driveway, and me and Alyssa got out so she could move to the drivers seat.
"Bye," she said, hugging me.
"Bye," I smiled. I stepped up to my frontdoor and fumbled around with the keys as I saw the light from Alyssas headlights fade as she pulled out of the driveway and drove off.
"Im home, mom," I called out as I walked through the house.
"Ian, you have some mail on the counter," she called back.
"Kay!" I walked to the kitchen counter and grabbed a navy blue envelope with my name on it.
"Be warned," it said. "Tell and Alyssas next. -C"
