Don't you remember, when the world was ours
We felt we could command the stars

How we sought for freedom
And for our great time to come

Crashing bravely through life
Thinking we'd dodged the knife

Making ourselves so wise and great
If only we'd had the patience to wait...

Looking back on it all now
Pain, regret, ignoble written on our brows

Wishing we could somehow change the past
To have everything last

Maybe then, we wouldn't be broken
If only then, we could have woken...
