And there I stood, in the pouring rain,
As the size of the puddles addled my brain.
I looked around, looked at the shops,p
Before being bombarded by large water drops.
I stared at the drains, bursting at their seams;
I'd never seen rain like this; only once in my dreams.
Far above, the clouds began to thunder,
"when will this rain stop?" I began to wonder.
And as the clouds finished their sonnet,
I shook my head at my waterlogged bonnet.
Then the sun came out, and brushed away all the fear,
I looked at my clothes and simply thought "Oh very dear."
