Restless
As I took his hand in mine,
And let our fingers entwine.
He pulled me playfully along the shore,
Our laughs muffled the sea's quiet snore.
The cool nipped the tips of our toes,
As we laid on the sand in hope for a doze.
But the Earth itself would not let us rest,
As it is our owner,
And we are its guest.
By Me.
