With A Little Help…

Despite my cynicism, I've always believed there is a system to finding happiness in life: suffer now, and one day you'll find happiness. Right at this moment, more than I ever have before, I wish, dear Lord, that this is true. Once upon a time when I was in an emotional mess to say the least, a good friend of mine said: "this might be the light at the end of an epic tunnel. Hang in there; what ever you’re faced with, it will get easier. Write how you feel down, it’ll help. If you feel the need to let a tear drop, do so. If need be, take five minutes away from the world. Close your eyes and take deep breaths. In and out, slowly. Smile, recall a moment in your life that has made living worthwhile, and keep strong. It will get easier. You are never alone.". Fantastic advice at the time. So hear, right now, I just closed my eyes and recalled some of these memories. The problem is that they all contain someone who is no longer here. How can they make life worth living if they all break my heart a little bit more? Oh please dear God, gimme a little help here...
