It sparkles in the sky
Shining down from up so high.
It reassures me that I'm not alone
Because before, I hadn't known.
The star stays still, silent
I know that it's not violent.
Nothing, no, nothing at all will change this
Because this star is just pure bliss.
I'm safe here with this star-
It's true, they're just what they are.
I single it out because it shines bright
In this dark, black blanketed night.
It is what feeds my soul
Until it reaches the goal
Because this is the first star of tonight
And I don't want to miss it's light.
