Tell me truth. Spare me your lies. Hold me so it stifles my cries. Promise me this is not another love spoof. Hold me near. Protect me. Hear me. Abolish my fear. Above all else. Live life with me.
This face before you Could you love it so. The body beside you Could you never let go. My hands outstretched Will you grasp now.
I'm not a gambling man. But you just have to understand. If I bet on you. Then you have to bet on me too. I'm not just betting on you. I'm betting on me. I'm betting on us. On keeping me and you a we.
I want to wrap you up in kindness. And cover you with care. Bury all your sadness. And shield you from your fears. I want to scare grey clouds away. And frighten off the cold.
HAD I the heavens embroidered cloths,. Enwrought with golden and silver light,. The blue and the dim and the dark cloths. Of night and light and the half-light,.
I wonder if I can bare it,. The simple loss of you,. How it would be bitter,. As I wonder what is true,. Even as I miss you,. And push away all fear,. The glimmer of loss grips me,.
Pick yourself up, gather your broken pieces too. And I will be here, I will be your glue. Withdraw yourself from your dark place. And I will be here for you to embrace.
I sit in my dream world full of slumber, Until you pop up, I start to wonder.
