Thinking back before all this, I remember our friendship. The kind of friend who'd pause the million and one things he had to do just for a chat. The kind of friend who'd eat lunch with you everyday and not worry. The kind of friend who'd invite you up to the long jump sand pit with his son to mess around with remote control cars. The kind of friend who went a bit further, even though it pushed the rules to there boundaries. You were my best friend. People my own age came and went. They argued and fought. But not me and you. We spent any time we could together. We took on any challenge, and we defeated it with ease. We were a team.
I did not know it then, but you had stolen my heart. It wasn't until there were no rules that it became so clear.
