Tower

You're trapped inside a mental tower
Growing angrier by the hour
Your shackles are tight and you cannot move
But even so, you mustn't lose
You scream and try desperately
But even so, you can't break free
You try again and again until you can take no more
Your blood is pooling on the floor
Still you try and still you rage
But you are young and not yet of age
You cannot break out of this tower
Here you are constantly embowered
You cannot break free of your chains
You cannot hope to relieve your pain
You close your eyes and one last turn
You pull and struggle until your wrists burn
But all of this is in vain
And you are in so much pain
You let go and stop fighting
The thought of death inviting
Your body isn't moving at all
Then you say goodbye and to the floor you fall.
A girl comes in with golden hair
She stops in shock and simply stares
She broke in to find her lover dead
She rushes to you and lifts your head
She kisses you tender on the lips
And, slowly, you return her kiss…

A tale of someone who gives up too early only to regain faith.
