Blame

"Whose to blame for this," they say
"I know it isn't me!"
And so they go home to light a fire
And drink a cup of tea

This is what they all say, these days,
From every height and social range
But if anything's to get done
Things are going to have to change

People have to realise
That everyone's to blame
And until this fact is known
Things will always be the same.

I wrote this just after the London Riots, if my memory serves me well, when everyone was placing their blame on the police. It also refers to the economy, and community, both direct factors to the London riots themselves
