I love chocolate, but it gets sickening and thick
And there's also a lot
It makes my teeth stick
I love horses, they come in all shapes and sizes
But they smell funny
And would make rather large surprises
I love gore, and also French!
But don't put them together like Waterloo
Or I'll tie you to a park bench
I love my bed but I can't take it anywhere
It's rather squeaky
So it quite often receives a glare
I love reading, but it makes me tired
I can't get to sleep
And then I'm all wired
I love writing, you can probably tell
Even though I'm not very good at it
It makes my chest swell
I love the cinema. Movies, popcorn and Coke!
It's my favourite place to visit
When I ain't so broke
I love books. They're just right.
Not too sickening, and nice when they're thick
A nice kind of smelly, when left in sunlight
Possibly filled with gore, possibly in French
But unlike Waterloo
The mix leaves less of a stench
I can take books anywhere, comfy or not
They don't tend to squeak, I haven't read them all
Even though I started when I was still in a cot
Writing and reading, books need them both
To be created and devoured
Both help our intellectual growth
Books have places to visit, money or no
Adventures to have, people to meet
That's all I have to say so...
