Chapter Thirty One
Broken Hearted
Caden was sitting near a lake. He was scared that Serena would find him. He took a long deep breath. As he heard footsteps,he knew exactly who it was. He started to run the opposite way from his car because the footsteps were coming from that way.
He turned around,expecting to see Serena behind but he saw no one. "Maybe I'm hearing things" he thought. He then called Gavin. "Hey dude it's me Caden,I'm in the woods near the lake. Serena may be here but I can't see her" he said trying not to panic. "Even if she is,she won't hurt you,she just won't leave you alone" Gavin replied. Before Caden say anything he heard someone running. "I got to go. See you later". He hung up. He looked around and ran but then he tripped.
He felt a hand on him. He looked up and saw Serena. He saw blood dripping her mouth. "Who did you hurt?" he asked as a small tear slid down his face. "No one you know," she assured him. Caden scooted away from her. Serena frowned. "Caden please! Why are you running away from me?" she asked. "Serena I love you so much but I just don't think this will work out. Baby I'm sorry" he said. Serena looked at him and started crying. Caden looked at her with sorrow.
He got up and as he tried to leave,Serena grabbed his hand. "I want to let you know something Caden. Just cause you are trying to let go, I'm not. I'll never ever let you go. It's like trying to get free from my hand but I won't let go of you" she said. Caden sighed and walked away. Serena fell to her knees and cried harder.
The next day,
"You dumped Serena for good?" Gavin asked. Caden bit his lips,trying hard not to cry. Gavin could see his struggle not to cry. "Bro come here" he said as he opened his arms. Caden went straight to him. That's what he loved about Gavin. He wasn't those boys to poke fun at him when he cried. They both would cry in front of each other. They had a special bond. It was brotherly love.
"I miss him so bad. I want him back" Serena sobbed. Tara put her arms around her. "Serena everything's going to be alright. You'll find someone else" Tara said. Serena said,"No I won't Tara. Don't you get it? Caden is my life. I love him. I love his kisses,his hugs,and his loveliness". Tara looked at her in shock. She didn't know what to say.
That night,
Caden walked around the park. He was expecting Serena to be here by now but she wasn't. He then remembered that he had wished her to there with him. Wait, why would he want her here? He didn't care he just wanted her here so,he wished. Before he knew it,he heard someone calling out his name.
