Chapter Twelve
Never Meant It
Serena grabbed Millicent's arm. Millicent gasped as she was face to face with Serena. She saw her red eyes. She too terrified to scream. Serena twisted Millicent's wrists. She showed her fangs and before she could do anything she heard Tara scream. Serena pulled away. Caden,Gavin,and Tara backed away. Serena looked at them. "Guys I meant it. I swear!" Millicent fainted and fell as Serena let her go. Serena saw terror in their eyes. Before she knew it they all disappeared.
Later that night when the party was over,
While everyone was cleaning up,they had a nervous look. "Guys I never meant to hurt her". Serena said. Tara scratched her neck. Serena's eyes filled with tears. "Tell me you trust me Tara!" she yelled. Tara backed away with Caden and Gavin. "Tell me!" Serena yelled. The glass shattered. Serena lost control of herself. Everyone headed outside. They went into their own car and drove off.
Caden stopped at the park. He got off. He sat on the bench. He was sweating with fear. "She promised" he sighed. "I still promise" Caden turned around and found Serena. He was about to run but Serena grabbed his hand. "Caden,don't run away from me please". She begged. Caden bit his lips. He looked down and saw a bruise on his wrist. "Let go of me" he said sharply. Serena finally realized what she done. "Caden I-" "You didn't mean it,you never meant it,then why in the world did you say it? You promised to never hurt me". Caden said as he backed away. Before Serena could say anything, Caden then said,"You couldn't control yourself Serena. I'm...afraid..." he didn't know if he should say it. "Of what?" Serena asked. Caden closed his eyes. "I'm afraid of you". Serena's heart fell to her stomach. She shook her head. "Caden...please..I would never ever hurt you".
"I have to go" Caden said and turned away. Serena grabbed his hand again. "Please Caden...don't do this to me". She begged. She felt so sorry. Her lips quivered as she held his hand tightly. Instead of tears coming out,stream of blood came out. Caden looked back and saw Serena heartbroken. He sighed. He still loved her but it was very dangerous. He decided to give her another chance. "I'll be with you if you promise to control yourself" he said. Serena looked up and nodded. Caden kissed her forehead. He hugged her. "I promise". She whispered.
