She paced quickly through the falling evening. She passed under the grand arches of the entrance to the gardens. Daylight colours gave way reluctantly to greys.
She knew that he was waiting in the centre, waiting for her answer.
Her angry thoughts spurred on her footsteps, gravel underfoot.
"As if I would have him now" she thought to herself, grinding her teeth as she remembered.
She walked faster, hands becoming fists as she thought about what he'd done.
