A man who's car had broken down in the middle of no where walked into an old hotel in the country. "are there any mechanics in town?" he asked. "no, but I know a thing or two about cars, I'll take a look at it in the morning." said the man at the desk. It was beginning to get dark so the man handed the hotel keeper his credit card and asked for a room. "all the rooms are under construction except for two in the basement, one is already taken so you'll get the one across from it" the hotel keeper said. The man was very friendly so he wanted to meet the other person staying in the hotel. "is the person staying in the other room nice?" the man asked. "they have a severe medical condition, so nobody can see them or go in there room" the hotel keeper said, he opened a door that led to a staircase down to the basement. They walked down and there was a short hallway with a door on each side. The hotel keeper unlocked one door and opened it and the man walked in. It was a pretty nice room. Big bed with a comfy looking blanket, a sofa, no tv though. But that's ok, the man brought a book. The man had trouble getting to sleep so he stayed up late. He began to wonder about the person staying across the room. He heard a door slam, it must've been them. He peeped through the key-hole but only saw red. That's weird. The man thought to himself. He began reading more but he started feeling uneasy. He checked through the key hole again and still only saw red. He was tempted to open the door but decided not too since he was sleepy. He went to bed. The next day he packed his things and went upstairs to check out. "is the car working?" the man asked. "good as new." the hotel keeper said with a grin. The man felt curious about the person in the other room. "if you don't mind me asking, what was wrong with the person in the other room?" he asked. The man leaned over the desk and said "she was a bit loony, had a big bag and I could've sworn I saw a knife in one. Her face was kinda disfigured." the man felt scared now.the hotel keeper added "oh! And her eyes were bright red."
