As we quickly approach the new year, each of us are struggling with a New Year's Resolution that is meaningful. Every year we look back at our successes, measure our failures and base those resolutions on what we feel would make us a better person. The problem with those lofty goals is we tend to set the bar a tad bit too high and they are quickly forgotten by the spring. Wouldn't it be nice to have a resolution that is reasonable to achieve and produce amazing results?
To each of you I humbly submit for your approval "The Grandma Rules." These rules were introduced to me several years ago by a good friend who was raised to practice them everyday. They are a gentle reminder of what is really possible in our day to day life. Just maybe if we all adopted them as our mantra for 2012, the world we live in every day might just be a better place.
The Grandma Rules
# 1: You only harass the ones you love.
# 2: If you sugarcoat your words, all they will get is the sugar.
# 3: If you donβt have anything nice to say, donβt say anything.
