Horses seem to be less than pets,
They are shot when they are too old,
To race for their masters, a brutal thing
For an animal so beautiful and so bold,

It is a strange place,
The industries of racing,
And a nasty problem,
We are scared of facing,

Why do they deserve it?
Why do they have to go,
The animals who provide for us,
Die when they are too old and slow,

Should we not treat them as pets?
Will the war on cruelty never end?
Why the sorrow? Why the death?
Why the rules we fail to bend?

Save the horses,
Use the key,
Show them kindness,
Set them free...
