Daydreams

In the land of the Daydreamer
Nothing is impossible.
Nothing is unheard of.
There's no limit to the sky
The stratosphere can reach
70 times as high as the moon
And old women tossed up in baskets
Can use hoovers rather than brooms.
A room can melt away from around you
And Narnia jump from the wardrobe
In your mind, the wrinkled prune
Of electric impulses spun from gold
Not hay.
A dropped penny in a well
Coming back a jewel
Each moment making you rich.
Nowhere is unfathomable.
No corner unheard of
And it's fine, everyone knows you there.

Mankind Revealed

I can see a billion Luna moths, with five inch wings, beating against the hourglass. Gathering statistics feverishly. Surrounded by phantoms of their past, their ancestors tucked in between moonbeams.
