Another Year

It seemed in slow motion,
She never touched the ground,
Memories flooded like an ocean,
Through my ears the sound,

Many years have passed,
Soul sisters we always were,
How did it all go so fast,
All I ask is another year,

We did see it coming,
It's a part of our life,
To find you again,
I hope to wake tonight.

When you were here. Back at the start. You held me near. And you had my heart. When cold you'd be my heater. You'd just hate my toes. You'd always warm me. And with your lips you'd warm my nose.

Back In The Day...

Sat on a bench with a notepad and pen. I sprawl down our fun that we had back then. Dancing together on a luscious night. Watching the sunrise, the yellow so bright.

Under The Bed

There's no monster under my bed. Just a box of memories that lurk instead. Memories of her. Of a happier time. No one's memories but mine. They wait for me to venture under.
