If I Saw You Earlier

Chapter 26

He held my hand and we ran to the water. The waves met us and it ft do good. When the water came to my chest James came closer and stated kissing me. It was our first kiss in the water. I missed kissing him so bad. He kissed me gently and I felt those salty lips on mine.

" I missed kissing you". I said when we stopped kissing.
" me too, I missed your body near mine and I missed you hugging me, kissing me and I wish those things you been through never happened". He said as he held my waist.

I smiled back at him cause I loved him. I loved James and I knew it. He was not a jerk. He understood me. I kept my hands around his neck, then I gave him a playful kiss.

The sun shined on us and the water was not too cold but it gave me energy. It was a perfect moment of love. Two young people alone in a huge summer house. With the beach a few steps away. What else could be needed?

" do you want to swim?". He asked as he looked behind him. Where water never ended.
" sure". I said. He let me out of his grip and dove into the water. I started to swim as well. Not in the same speed as he did. I liked it. I could feel everything around me.

An hour past and when he came back he told me to go upstairs and take a shower. I agreed cause I was hungry.

I walked in the shower and as I got out I saw it. It was a card. And it said
' out to get lunch, don't leave the bedroom. Love, James'

I felt lonely. I was scared. The thought of demons stalking me was horrible, and I was alone. I put those shorts on me and that blue top. I looked at my hair in the mirror. It was longer now. Hanging there, straight, brown and long. I didn't even notice that.

Then something took my eyes of the mirror. The sound downstairs made me stand up. My fast heartbeats made me wonder if they were heard.

James would call out that it was him. But I did not hear the car. Those feet were moving downstairs. I called James.
" someone is here, what should I do?". My voice was silent but I was panicking.
" keep calm and lock the bedroom door". I did it as fast as he told me.
" I am on my way!". He said.
" keep talking to me". He said in a scared voice. He was scared as I was.
" erm, I bought that blue top today". I said nervously.
" you must look good".

Then u heard the car stop. The steps were walking up. Those feet sounded heavy.
" Alice! I know you are here".
That was a voice I knew. I didn't say anything but the boy who was calling my name was Mark.
