If I Saw You Earlier

Chapter 4

I walked. It was a place were no one was seen. There were flowers everywhere. And I saw James standing under a tree. He walked towards
me. Then he kissed me.
His kiss was the best kiss I have ever had.

I sat straight up in my bed.
What a dream. I didn't even dream about guys I have met. I looked at my clock it was 6.30. I could sleep the next 30 min but I stepped out of my bed took a shower, got dressed and went downstairs.
" good morning" my mother said. She stood in the kitchen. Making waffles.
" could you please take out the blueberries out if the fridge?". She asked with a smile. I couldn't smile back. I hated mornings. Yet I woke up early and wanted to meet James.
" john and I are over, ok?"
I said with a low voice.
" oh honey, I am so sorry"
She said while she hugged me.
" don't be, we both wanted it" I said it like I cared about it. Even though I didn't.
" how is your new boyfriend?". Mark was so annoying. He and John were friends. Even if my brother was 5 years older than John.
" why aren't you at work?"
I asked. A 21 years old guy still living with his parents. It was the only thing I liked to tease him with.
" shut up" he said. And it worked.

" listen, I don't get it. Why did you leave him?Wasn't he good enough for you? I mean, you got angry with me when I kissed him. I thought you cared."
" Cathy, you are asking too many questions! Can you leave it behinde? I don't care anymore!" that sounded better in my head but it made her shut up too.
" I will leave you alone" she walked away.
" hey" a voice I knew came behinde me.
" hi James" I said, glad to see him.
" can we do something else today?" I asked him. I never skipped school. But I had enough with everything. I just wanted to get away.
" if you don't want to, you can stay but I am out" I gave him a choice. He could have stayed.
" I am coming with you".
His answer made me smile.
I took his hand and walked to the door. While every late kid ran to their lessons.
