If I Saw You Earlier

Chapter 6

If anybody told me that I was an angel, I would smile. But he didn't. He just walked away.

I thought about what to do.
I could go back to school, tell them I slept too much this morning or stay here till it was time for me to go home. But I could go home. Mark was sleeping. I took the risk of going home. I promised myself to stay in my room and not make a noise. Then I heard a knock on the door.

I heard Marks footsteps as he walked downstairs.
" hi John, what are you doing here?" my brothers sleepy voice was heard up to my room. The silent in the house didn't make it hard to hear what they were talking about.
" I am wondering if you can tell me about this James guy." what was that for a question. Why did he want to know about James?
" listen, go back to school and talk to him. Why did you come here?" my brother was right. He didn't know a thing about James.
" he isn't at school today, and Alice isn't either." shit!
" how do you know?"
" my teacher thought Alice was sleeping, but a couple of friends saw her in the hall , with James". I couldn't move. Why was everyone against the thought of me leaving school for a day?
" what if she is in danger?"
John wanted truble. I could go down there and say I forgot something.

" hello, I forgot this book. I had to pick it up, John, I didn't know you are here. What do you want?". John can't give James truble.
" I thought he did something to you". John lied. He wanted to kick James out of this school.
" I have to go" I said it with a smile and walked with my skateboard. I missed the bus already.

I had to go back. I had to tell James about John.
John won't let James out of his sight. When we were dating he only cared about me. He hated the thaught of me breaking up with him and hang out with someone else.

My skateboard isn't new but it made I made it to school. But then I found James outside.

" sorry, I am so sorry. I need to talk to you" I said, the skateboard under one foot and my eyes on him
