One Summer With You

Chapter 25

I woke up to a hand touching my cheek. I woke up really fast. Held the cover tight against my body.
" wow you look scared". He said with a smile. He came closer and kissed me. I kissed him back. He pulled away and sat next to me.
" I am not dressed". I said in a low voice.
" want me to join you?" he said and laughed. It was as if nothing happened. No one cried. No one got hurt. No one nothing.

" I have to get to work, please leave". I said and he stood up walked backwards. He looked in my eyes and smiled. then he turned away and was out of the room. I ran to the closet. After I was dressed I walked to the car. There was a note.

" meet me on the beach before midnight, Jake".
I started the car and I looked at the cloudy sky. A rainy day was ahead of me. The note, I read it three times at work. Few words, but a huge message behind them.

As I walked out of the flower shop it was raining. Really raining. Am I going to the beach? I drove to buy fast food. I decided to eat it at home. I bought chocolate for dessert and drove back home in the rain.

It was raining too much. I got wet. Too wet, just by running to the door. It was grey outside. The clouds hid the sky and I worked late so it was around eight when I walked inside.

" Jake?". I took my shoes off. Ran to the kitchen to leave the food and looked around. No one. I sat and ate alone. My clothes were changed to sweatpants and a large t-shirt.
So I was going to meet him before midnight.
