Storm Heat Falling

You can feel it in the air.
You can see it in the sky.
You hear it coming.
You can smell that distinct smell.

As the heat of the storm falls onto your head,
You don't run for shelter,
you stand there catching every single drop.
Looking up with outstretched arms,
closing your eyes and opening your mind.

Struggling to pin that feeling.
Cleansing. Absolving. Humanising
Makes you feel alive,
romantic - if you weren't all alone.

People stop and stare at you.
Umbrellas up, shielding them.
You can't catch your death of cold,
But they still think you're crazy....
You couldn't be more sane!

As they move about their business
you're still drinking everything in,
and as the storm passes
you feel recharged.

Ready to tackle anything life throws at you.
