The Knight of the Light

So the drum of life beats on.
The drum of my heart heeds on.
It shakes me deep into the bone.
It shakes my mind, it shakes my soul.

She beats it so hard, with her tender hands.
She loves me so hard, I fall into her hands.

Fall, the fall.
It makes me strong.
Boom, kaboom.
It makes me long.

For her loving voice.
I hear, I hear,
the world full of noise.

So I stand tall, a valiant knight.
My sword of light, strikes in the night.
I strike to mend, the bone and the heart.
I do not fret, when the blood goes hard.

I fear no man. All I fear is to be hopeless.
I do not fear any evil, not even the headless.

Evil, so evil.
I fight to spread light.
Mighty, so mighty,
they are not, in my sight.
Deep, I fall deeper,
as the knight of the day.
Higher, I go higher,
above the demons I slay.

Deny my existence.
Lie if you may.
If you don't recognize my persistence,
you will only feel dismay.

Tomorrow is another beautiful day.
I'll drag you, kicking and screaming, into the light of day.
why are you afraid to let goodness rule?
Is it because you're bitter, and you're starting to get old?

It's never too late to become your true self again.
It's never too late to come alive again.
Your heart may be black,
and your eyes may be sore.
I can't remove the black,
but I can show it the door.

No man is ever born with evil,
it is put in him with knives and needles.
