The Last Word

My hearts desire was down, she was falling so deep.
She said to me there were three words in this world she needs.

I told her, sadly I can't say I agree with your point of view,
because to me, there are four words to be joined: I love you too.

I've said the first three words so many times, and meant them,
but they are useless, if the fourth word is never joined in truth with them.

I can love a person as much as I want, but that doesn't make true love.
What makes two hearts become one, are four words of pure love.

The four words are true.
I love you too.
