Transformation

Vampire’s penetrating crimson eyes,
Look into your soul; see through your lies,
Young boy gets bitten, then withers, then dies,
Family grieving, their banshee-like cries.

Why does the voice seem to echo in here?
We came to celebrate but this abysmal atmosphere,
Gives us not the hope we need to cheer,
We’re all paralysed with the hypnotic fear.

And our deep red blood seeps out to the floor,
And the brains and the liver and all of the gore,
We are like zombies; our minds are no more,
We know we have lost; we kept track of the score.

Slowly like poison the vampires creep out,
The survivors daren’t scream
And the survivors daren’t shout,
As they exit the building, we tiptoe about.

We can feel the end; it vibrates through the wall,
Suddenly our lives seem insignificant, small,
As if all up to now was worth nothing at all,
We’ve been rats in the cage like a horse in the stall,

And I rise up above then get plunged down below,
My movements are fast when once they were slow,
Continuity seems to have gone through the door.

And I can speed through the alleys,
And creep through the door.
Instil fear into those that attacked me before…
