Voices

Sleepless whispers infiltrate my head.
The voices that greet me as I lay in my bed.
They control my body, nought but a passenger, I am,
I have to watch as the voices change who I am.
My head erupts in blistering pain,
As I try to become who I am again.
The voices always win, but at least I tried,
But I'm sure that the voices would rather I died.

Fear Is My Follower

I'm going off at the deep end. Falling without any wings. Powerless to turn this tide. A peasant in face of kings. I can't change my fate at all. It's been taken from my hands.
