Chapter 7 ~ Part Time Job

Jun Hae's on cleaning duty today so he has to stay back, he's quite upset when it's his turn today. He grumbles and keeps on complaining making the teacher have a difficult time telling him to do it and telling him to tuck in his shirt though he still argues that school is over and he doesn't need his shirt tucked in. Still there's that undisciplined side of Jun Hae and the side of not wanting to do any work but sleep or just talk to friends.

Jun Hae has no choice and he starts by cleaning the board still grumbling behind the teachers back as she leaves the classroom.

"Jun He don't be like that." I say to him as he rushes through his duty. "You missed a spot." I say pointing to the corner of the board. He grumbles and wipes it clean.

"I hate doing duty." He says dumping the duster onto the table and heading off to clean the trash bin.

"We only do it at least twice or three a term. You don't have to do it everyday." I exclaim.

"Why can't the janitors do it?" He says grunting while picking up the rubbish and throwing them in the bin with frustration.

"Because, we have to clean the classroom ourselves so they won't have much work. I mean this is a big school you can't expect them to just clean every single speck or dirt." I explain. "You have to be a little considerate."

Jun Hae grunts unable to answer.

"Anyway," I say looking at the clock above the board. It's fifteen minutes after two and I've got to rush to my part time job. "I have to go. Or I will be late for my job." I quickly head for the door.

"You mean that job-"

"Yes Jun Hae," I say sighing not wanting to bring that topic into conversation. "Now I'll be late, I need to go. Bye."

I quickly rush off taking a bus to the cosmetics shops I work in. Thank goodness I'm not that late since there's traffic and I almost spend the other half an hour stuck in it. At least it's not three in the afternoon yet.

I enter the shop to be greeted by my co-workers helping the customers and realizing the manager isn't here to my relief. I enter the changing room opening my locker grabbing my uniform.

I quickly dress racing against time tutoring my white blouse and putting on the black vest and grabbing the stockings and pulling it up my legs forcefully. I take a quick glance to the clock to see I have five minutes left before I start and I still need to put on some make-up. Seeing I have no time I use my art skills to make my eyeliner flawless as quickly as possible and putting white toner onto my face and then fixing my hair into style.

I step out of the changing room almost breathless as I head to the counter.

"Well, you're early Aeia." Hyo Min teases while arranging the new testers.

"Shut up Hyo Min." I say irritated. "Stupid traffic and I got into a conversation with someone."

"Ooh." She says with interest. "Is it a guy?"

"No need to answer that. Lets just get back to work." I say.

She frowns in frustration. "You're no fun."

I take deep breathes trying to relax myself as customers come in. A couple and a student enters quickly their minds wandering around the store and looking at the products wondering if the should buy it or not.

I stare at the couple, holding hands - a handsome young man and a beautiful young woman, I feel somehow envious of them, both are so lovable and sweet they both look so loyal to each other. They almost look like a prince and a princess. I can't help but admire.

I'm then approached suddenly by the student and asks me something. I didn't hear and I quickly snap out of my fantasy.
