I lay awake,
Rain beats down outside my window,
The sound so soothing yet my head is uneasy,
Trying to clear all thoughts,
But one stands strong.

The image of you as clear as day,
We fort, we cried, we hurt and wanted to hide,
But why now is this image so clear?

I cant have you in my arms and i cant feel the touch of your skin.

Each and every annoying trait,
