I'm Not A Child Anymore.

I find it strange how we have grown,
From little children in the unknown.
Knowing a lot about nothing much,
Living life freely as such.
But many things have changed I guess,
There's some much panic, anxiety, stress.

There were days when we were so naive,
Saying things that we don't know believe.
Trying to become a child once more,
Being an adult has become quite a bore.
Yet when I say bore I mean a pain,
Waking up with a routine all over again.

Sleepless nights, endless work,
Driving you on the edge of berserk.
Seeing children's smiling faces,
Soon enough they will be hopeless cases.
Twas' nice when the world didn't seem so big,
But now all we do is find a hole and dig.

Trying to find what we so longingly desire,
Saying that life's amazing, but you're just a liar.
Sadly I'm not a child anymore,
Perhaps, deep down in my hearts aspiring core.

Just some naive teenage girl writing poems with no confidence... O_o Ed sheeran, the hunger games, all time low, the midnight beast and other stuff is basically my life. Ps I'm sorry I'm not good at being sociable. :)

It's hard work growing up isn't it? I've been trying for 63 years and I'm just getting the hang of it! Good luck. 👏👏👏😊👍

@TheCodsPollocks haha yeah, it's pretty full on. I don't think anyone can completely grow up though no matter what your age is :)
