If you only knew
The things she'd do
Maybe you'd look her way?
Look her in the eyes and say:
"Love, why didn't you tell me?
I wish I could have seen."

If you had only thought,
That you were all she sought,
Maybe you would have pursued her back?
Instead of letting her heart race about in a track.

If you had only looked,
Maybe you'd have seen the love from which her body shook.
Praying to see your deep blue eyes,
If only you hadn't been so shy...

If you had only dreamed,
Maybe you would have seen her; realized she was coming undone at the seams.
Maybe you would have met in your dreams,
For dreams were her only escape; a greater chance to see you...
The only thing getting her through.
She dreamed so often of you, it's true.

Thoughtless, no, you didn't think
She could just as easily be gone in a blink.
Could...
But she never did.
For she waited for you till she was dead.
