Thinking

I am writing this, because I haven't simply written for a few weeks,
Maybe months.
I've lost track of time.
I'm writing to thank someone, a friend, in fact.
Someone who reminded me of the importance of writing.
It felt strange. It felt like I'd almost forgotten,
How to write.
All my inspiration, gone.
All my motivation, gone.
Somehow, whilst walking to my next lecture, we walked together and thought,
About life.
And what it truly meant.
And how it was so hard to find a friend who writes for a hobby.
And that day, was enough for me.
It was enough for me to feel the surge of power in my brain, it signaled inspiration.
It signaled, 'I am ready once more, to write again'

The name of this poem may seem to be of no relevance to the actual content. But let me tell you this. My friend who inspired me to get back into writing once more said, that whenever she would commute to places, travel around, she'd spend some time alone, just thinking to herself. This was her time. Her "thinking" time. And no one was EVER allowed to interrupt that time. Hence, why I called this poem "ithinking" because in a way, whilst walking to my next lecture, that is exactly what we were doing.
