To All You

I just want to make a point and let me warn you, it's rather cheesy but it's so true.

Being from South Yorkshire I think it's fair to say that I understand how cruel people can be to one another. I know that the people in society now have to fight racism, homophobia, sexism and discrimination, to name a few. The words people can say to one another are horrendous and I can only imagine how awful it must feel. For example, I myself am not homosexual, but there are many people who are, and they are taunted and discriminated for their sexual preferences. What does it matter? How on earth can a persons sexuality change who they are? Remember, next time you call someone a name, think of the person you're hurting. What's most important is what makes a person happy, whether girl likes boy, girl likes girl, girl likes both, boy likes girl, boy likes boy, boy likes both. What does it matter? Like I say, I am not homosexual, so I cannot pretend to understand how it must feel to be treated in such awful ways, but for goodness sake just let a person be happy! Is it not ignorance to treat someone different because of little things? It's like ethnicity and skin colour. Racism gets me so so mad, what does skin colour change about a person? Is it not our duty, as members of a humane society, to be decent towards others? The levels of discrimination is appalling! You are beautiful no matter what your skin colour and don't ever let people tell you otherwise! Nowadays there is also the issue of girls (and boys) being constantly attacked by the media, by these so called perfect models all over the place. Do not compare yourselves to others. Yes, the models are beautiful, but so are you! It doesn't matter whether you're short or tall, big or small, big eyes or small eyes, full lips or thinner lips, you are all beautiful! Vanity and obsession with appearance can corrupt your thoughts about yourself and make you shine less! Do not hide behind makeup and hairspray, wear it in moderation and let your skin look like skin; it has blemishes, spots, red patches, no one has a perfect complexion! My skin is appalling and I have the worse eye bags you would ever see, but it's never going to change! I have what I have for the rest of my life and the aim of life is to be happy! Doing things that make you happy, being with people that make you happy, not being afraid to love and be free makes you glow, remember that! Enjoy life and don't ever let anyone say anything to hurt you! No matter what your sexuality, skin colour, ethnicity, religion, beliefs etc, you are all beautiful to me! :)

I am very interested in the English language, literature, books, novels, poetry, plays, films, art and yoga. I like to observe masterpieces in all areas and take inspiration from such. I believe that looking deep into the literary marvels of the world can give people a greater insight into the world we live in and open up the mind to explore and understand new things.

You worded that so perfectly, It really shouldn't matter who you love, either sex. You can't help your feelings. I think some of the discrimination is just cultural. Family's, friends etc. British people have always had a pretty dark sense of humour. I think the lines got blurred along the way. Its mainly through the influence of tv, music and films. Unfortunately the human mind is pretty easy to control.😔 But you don't have to give in to it. Because I haven't, you haven't and many more great people on here haven't, so hopefully we can all try to wake people up and see what effect there negativity has on people and the world. Really inspiring stuff thanks for posting.😄

Great work! Nice to see such a positive message! Only thing I will say (perhaps controversially) I think religion and beliefs can definitely change people, most for the better, and some not so much...not that I'm saying anyone deserves to be treated differently, it's just you specifically said 'what does...beliefs and religion change about a person?'

@Stablish thank you! And yeah I noticed how I got a bit wavered lol, that's me ranting :) but thankyou so much for the lovely comment :D

@shanwan hi! Thank you! And yeah, I read it back and noticed about the religion thing, it does actually change a person completely haha so I apologise for that :)

@shanwan in fact, I'll edit that part :)

@Hannah1996 aw you don't need to apologise for it! Perhaps a career in features writing beckons?
