She watched him move,
Move away from the house,
The house and from her heart.
She knew he'd be changed,
Changed on return,
Now he and she were apart.
A tear ran down,
Ran down her cheeks,
And her hair fell forward to hide.
The was a lurching sickness,
Sickness and chaos,
That tormented her inside.
It was a loss,
A loss she grieved,
One she'd known would come.
And now it was here,
All she felt,
Was a cold, unnerving numb.
