You've got to be in bed by eight,
Because- well, do you know the date?
December twenty fourth, it is,
It's Santa Clause's day; it's his!
Put the pies and wine out there,
Write a letter, show you care.
So go to bed so you're not up,
Just leave him food and one large cup.
And in the morning then you'll wake,
Be glad of cautions you must take.
