Part 21

I'm not quite sure why but I felt a little awkward all the way through the film. Whenever our arms brushed each other on the chair, when our hands met in the popcorn, and then when he put his arm round my seat, and I know it was just to stretch his arm out but I couldn't help but read more into it. After the film we decided to get something to eat. Alex suggested the KFC over the road because A: he thought it was delicious an B: it was cheap so I agreed and just as we were about to cross the road an angered voice shouted my name from somewhere behind me. I turned to see Ben sprinting towards me his face red and his hands curled into fists. When he reached us he pushed Alex to the floor, and I swore I heard something crack. Ben had worked himself into such a rage. He stood over Alex yelling things like "How dare you! That's my girlfriend! You.....!" I stood there my crutches forgotten on the floor, trying to stop him, but after about a minute he turned on me.
"What do you think you're doing here, with him?"
"We just went to the cinema, were only friends. It doesn't mean anything!" I managed to blurt this much out before Alex stood up, tapped on Bens shoulder and hit him in the stomach. Ben doubled over, winded. By this time a large crowd had gathered around us, none of them knowing what to do. I was still trying to break them both us, as they were rolling around on the floor, hitting each other. I bent down to try and prize Ben off of Alex and as I did Ben turned, looked at me, paused, and hit me! I fell to the ground, my bead spinning, and the last thing I saw was alex launching himself at Ben.
