When I was naive and the days were longer
I was obliviously stronger
My mind was younger and my love grew fonder
I just didn't know...
I would live out my life oblivious to the most
Nothing in the world used to bemuse or bother me
I would live out my years of pure youth and open positivity
Then all of a sudden
Everything became clouded and misty
I dropped the ball
And let life get to me
What did that get me?
A brain in constant interaction
Not with others but trapped in my own faction
My mind was fractured but once again I've mastered the beauty of confidence
This is my life
I grab it by the ivory horns to complete this timely dance
The dance of confidence
