He sits alone in a race car bed,
He wonders if the monster's been fed.
Afraid of what goes bump in the night,
He's sure that he's in for a fright.
Turn on the nightlight,
And pray for twilight.
He's terribly scared,
There's no way he's prepared.
The monster wants him dead,
He knows it's not just in his head.
He's seen it before,
When it gave a terrible roar.
He wishes for his mummy,
The monster thinks he looks yummy.
She can drive the beast away,
Stop it from seizing its prey.
But no one is here.
So the kid should fear,
The beast that lurks.
From the closet it smirks...
