The Riddle Of Riddles

>sorry its took so long<<

Chapter Eighteen.

Shock. What was happening?

Confusion. Why was grandma here?

Pain. Why did my head hurt so much?

Before I could answer any of those Scott held a glass of water to my lips. I took a slow mouthful, Feeling it rush over my dry tounge.

I suddenly became aware of what had happened. I had fainted. I must of hit my head on the floor. But grandma shouldn't be here. She was gone?

I shot up trying to put distance between me and whatever it was impersonating my grandma.

"Woah, Xena chill shes here to help, I think." Scotts feeble attempt to calm me failed.

My head rush made me wobbly. I would have hit the floor again if scott hadn't of caught me.

After regaining me equilibrium I looked up. She was right there. In front of me. Holding out the glass of water.

I stared in to her eyes for a moment testing her, if it was her. I took the glass slowly and swallowed the rest.

I looked round, remembering where I was. A seacret room. She had obviously seen me weigh up the room. She held out her hand. I stared at her again before trusting her.

She felt so real. I could feel her aged skin on mine. Just like it used to be. I remembered being a child, walking round the shops holding her hand.

She pulled me over to the desk and looked down at a box.

Chest was more of an accurate description really, it was wooden and aged. It was very ornate infact it was beautiful. It had the family name "Riddle's" engrave in pretty calligraphy on it.

I looked at grandma and she gestured for me to open it.
