The Riddle Of Riddles.

Chapter Thirteen

After what seemed like years of waiting, the foot steps began to move again, heading towards the fireplace. The taking a a turn towards the book case on the opposite wall. They didn't stop, it was like they just walked off into the wall?

Stillness.

Several moments passed. Nothing moved.

Scott took a step forwards, keeping me close to him.

"No Scott, I'm scared." My voice rough from the scream bearly reaching a whisper.
"So am I, but we can't stay here. Trust me. I'll protect you." I had no choice but to follow him. The fear of being left alone was too great.

He edged closer and closer to the fireplace. One small shuffle at a time.

Thats when it caught my eye. My tinker bell key chain. They were looped over the horse statue along with Scotts keys. His phone and torch lying underneath it.

I took the brave step this time. I was fed up of being scared. Scott quickly grabbed my arm and pulled me back.
"What do you think your doing?"
I found my voice "Getting my keys and getting out of here!"
"Behind me."
"No I'm fed up of tip toeing around. This was our house too remember!" before he could answer I took the final step and reached for the key.

"Huhh. What was that?" The horse clicked and moved as I grabbed it. The whole room seemed to jump into life.

Only when I turned around did I fully understand what had happened.
