Love You Too: PART 106

"Hopefully you'll get some decent sleep here" Tiffany said as she turned off the vintage Aston Martin's engine in their old parking space.
"I'd rather not have to sleep alone though" Nate protested.
"Come on, I'll come in and help you with your bags"
"I'm not the pregnant one, I'll carry the bags. Come and say hello to everyone though, I'm sure they'd love to see their head girl"
"Pretty rubbish head girl" Tiffany rolled her eyes at her husband, watching him lug a single piece of luggage into the familiar school.
"Right, I'm just going to dump my bag, say goodbye then I'm going for a swim. My exam's at 10am tomorrow, so I can revise a little in the morning. Promise you'll call me just before?"
"I promise" Tiffany said, ascending the staircase to the girl's dorm, and the head girl's suite as it was now referred as.
"Come on in, it must be a while since you've been in here"
"It sure is" Tiffany muttered, stepping across her old threshold and absorbing the familiar sights and smells of the place, linking them to painful and distant memories.
"Right" Nate said, flinging his bag on the couch "I'll see you tomorrow afternoon. Thanks for bringing me down"
"No problem. I'll collect you at about 4, okay? That'll give you time to say goodbye to everyone before the ball next week"
"Thanks. Now, most importantly, will you be alright? You don't need anything do you?" Nate said, showing that early-pregnancy attentiveness that she knew would fade soon.
"There is something" she said, stepping closer to him.
"What?" Nate asked innocently.
"A kiss? I'm going to miss you while you're gone" she said, standing on her tiptoes slightly, leaning up towards his lips, which consented to her embrace with no protestations.
"Bye" she whispered, stepping backwards and out of the door, grappling for her phone in her pocket as two new messages poured into her inbox.
The first one read "I love you" from Nate, to which she replied with a heart, and the second read "You'd better be coming to see us..."
And at that moment, a group of girl's emerged from round the corner, all possessing the same grin of happiness and joy at a friend returning to the place she was happiest.

"Girls!" Tiffany squealed as she rekindled the youthfulness that she'd once put to bed.
"What are you doing here?" Kim cried as she threw her arms around Tiffany's neck.
"I'm dropping off Nate" she said, hugging or kissing each girl on the cheek.
"It feels like such a long time since you've been here, how is everything?" another girl asked.
"It's all good now" Tiffany said, spotting Mollie coming down the corridor.
"Back for good?" she hollered, giggling and breaking into a run as she approached her best friend.
"I miss you!"
"I miss you too, where's Serena?" Mollie enquired, before Tiffany alerted her that the baby was with Ellie and Joe for the day.
"Who's Serena?" another girl asked.
"You haven't heard?" another answered "Tiffany named the baby!"
"You called her Serena? That's such a perfect name!"
"Thank you" Tiffany beamed, noticing Nate's head poking round the corner of the door to their room. "I think it's about time you all showed me what you're wearing next week?" Tiffany giggled, following the girls as they lead her towards their dresses, glancing back at Nate who was blowing her tiny kisses.

"So" Ginnie, a girl in the year below Tiffany, began after Tiffany had admired a string of almost identical dresses "Are you coming?"
"Nate's coming, so of course she is!" Kim replied, laughing at the overwhelming joy of this simple situation.
"He's going?" Tiffany asked in bemused shock.
"He RSVP'd weeks ago. I thought you knew, that's why I didn't say anything" Mollie answered. She'd taken on the planning role for this year's end of year ball, and she wasn't going to let her best friend slip out of it's net.
"Oh. Well it'll be pretty hard to organise a baby sitter for Serena, so I'll let him go alone" she said, smiling and shrugging the event off.
"If it means you'll be there then I'll babysit for gods sake!" Mollie exclaimed "Oh please come, T. You're head girl, you have no choice in the matter!"
"You're pretty much head girl now, I think that role was taken away from me after I missed half a year of school"
"Come on, please? There's no one who doesn't want you there. And I'm certain that Nate will" Mollie winked, laughing.
"Mollie please. I'll think about it" Tiffany said, losing her air of amusement.
"What's up? Come on, you can tell us" Kim asked, putting her arm around Tiffany's shoulders.
"You know what happened last time the school held an end of year event. I'm just cautious. That's all" Tiffany said, shrugging her shoulders as he completed her sentence.
"You don't have any of that to worry about" a deep voice said from behind the group of girls, and the voice soon wrapped itself around Tiffany's hips and allowed her to rest back into it.
"Nate!" a few of the girls cried, trying to control their female hormonal rush as he entered the room, brightening it as he did so.
"I'm still worried. Thanks for telling me you'd already RSVP'd!" Tiffany said sarcastically, turning to her husband and rolling her eyes at him.
"It was a surprise, okay? Now, when are you going to get back to that baby of ours? She'll be needing her mother"
"She'll be needing her daddy too, but he's staying here for the night" she complained, sticking out her bottom lip in protest.
"It's just like looking after a second child" Nate moaned, winking at Tiffany and making sure she'd picked up on his reference to the second pregnancy.
"Right, I really should be off" Tiffany said, kissing the girls on the cheek again before planting a kiss bigger than all those combined on her husband's lips. "Get back to your room, you and have a good night's sleep. I'll call you when I'm home"
"I'm staying to talk to Mollie for a few minutes, just to organise something, but have a good trip" he said, wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her again.
"4pm tomorrow" she said, planting the time she had to pick him up at in her memory.
"Can't wait to see you again" he smiled, waving her off as she left the room.
"Right, none of you have let on have you?" Nate asked all the girls, to which they all shook their heads. "Good. Now, let's get planning" he said, as Mollie pulled out an already bulging scrapbook that had Tiffany's mother's initials stamped at the bottom.
