-TIFFANY-
"T, Charlie and I broke up, as you know, but now we're back together. He came home yesterday and told me how much he loved me, so I took him back. (By the way, say thanks to Nate, that was obviously all down to him!).
Secondly, I got a call this morning from Vogue. Basically, they want to do a feature on summer life in the Hamptons and they've picked a few 'key figures' as they called it; 2 women over 60, 2 over 40, 2 over 20 and 2 up to 20. Guess who are the two under 20's? We're going to be in Vogue, T! Wear your best outfit, they're meeting us at your parent's house at 2pm.
I tried calling (and so did Vogue) but you didn't answer your phone. So I thought I'd tell you!
M x"
"Oh my god, Nate! Get out here quick!" I said, leaping up out of bed and ripping off the clothes I'd just put on. The shower flicked off and Nate ran out in his towel.
"Oh, hello!" he said, misinterpreting the situation.
"No no no" I said, rummaging in my wardrobe for something to wear. "Read the text on my phone"
"Oh! Charlie did as I said!" he said, smiling. "Why didn't you just tell me Mollie thanked me?"
"Read the second bit already!" I said, growing impatient. Nothing seemed to fit the bill in my wardrobe. I turned to Nate and he looked across at me in shock and delight.
"You're going to be in Vogue Magazine? THE Vogue Magazine?"
"Mm-hmm" I said, smiling and letting Nate hold me tight.
"I'm so proud of you baby!" he said, letting his towel slip off his chest down to his waist.
"I don't have time!" I said, frantically searching in my wardrobe again. "Help me pick something to wear?" I closed my eyes and breathed deeply, trying to imagine what I should be wearing. When I opened my eyes, Nate was stood beside me holding the perfect dress.
"Wow them baby" he said, kissing me and handing me the dress.
It was off white, almost cream, and it was made of lace. It was quite tight, but it hugged my figure in all the right places.
"It's the perfect blend of 'I woke up wearing this' and 'I look incredible'. You're such a perfect boyfriend!" I said, wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing him again.
"Can I finish my shower now please?"
"Oh gosh, yeah sure!" I said, pushing him gently in the direction of the bathroom, my hands resting on the mass of muscle around his shoulders.
"Press there again?" he said, shifting his body so I was roughly massaging him.
"Sore shoulders?" I said
"Yeah, I think I slept on the wrong side of the bed"
"Me too." I agreed, letting my fingers dig into his shoulder blades and the muscles either side, rubbing each individual muscle. I knew I was working magic because I could her various "Mmmms" and "Ahhs" from Nate. I carried in going until I'd had enough of providing such relief and not getting any in return.
"Where was I?" Nate sad, snapping out of his trance like state. "Right, shower. Yes" he said, making his way back into the bathroom. I quickly replied to Mollie:
"M, thanks for telling me! I'm so excited! I'll see you at 2pm and maybe we can have a catch up over some iced tea with our boys after? T x"
I slipped on the dress and stood in front of the mirror, holding up my half dry hair on the top of my head so I could fully admire this dress.
I thought to myself about my life: in a house with my boyfriend, meeting people from Vogue in a matter of hours, with my gorgeous boyfriend in the shower, in one of the most exclusive neighbourhoods in the country. I couldn't help but feel I'd made it in America, but part of me also felt a little insecure. This much perfection always came with a price, and with Victoria still on the loose, I couldn't be too careful...
