You've Never Been Alone

You little boy with those brown eyes filled with such depth, they often reach deeper than the words you speak. I couldn’t see the beauty then; of those two big front teeth. I’d have fought the urge to cover them along with your smile if the beauty of it wasn’t lost on me. I know that from where you sit, you only have a certain point of view, but life will change that, as it is meant to do. Don’t fear change, its life’s way of replenishing the old with the new. And it is happening on every level of life, both within and outside of you. You must know that it is the way of man, to fear what he does not understand. And because of fear he will stand with the crowd and be lead by their voices, while ignoring the whispers of his own.

You may be too young to understand now but know that although you’ve felt that way, you have never been alone. Your Creator has been with you since before the beginning of time and He will be there in the end when time is no more. You have always been a part of Him and He will always be apart of you. He is whom they talk about in Sunday school. He is also who wars have been fought, and slaves sold and bought, in the name of. Not everyone’s beliefs are the same, religion is man’s search for God, but it has led him to do many Godless things in His name. It can be made complicated I know, but God is not a place, a doctrine, a religion or a thing.

He is the sun you see in morning, and moon you see in the evening. He is the tree you sit under and the shade you enjoy. He is the food you eat and the sugar that makes the cane so sweet. He is the warmth you feel in a loving embrace and he is the face of every single race. If you want to see Him go and take a long look in the mirror. You’ll see your Dad and your Mom in your reflection and you may resemble a cousin or two, but as God lives in all of the life He created He also lives in you. You will reach your greatest potential when you live in a way that recognizes and honors this truth.

Enlightenment is an enemy of fear Kilo, your body can be chained and your mouth muzzled, yet your soul can be liberated. It may be the nature of man to be guided by his fears and lead by the voices that instill them from positions of authority. This however, is not the man you will be. That’s not what I’m telling you, but what you have been showing me. God has a different path for you, though it be rocky because it is travelled by few. It is the path of faith because God is most pleased with us when we become awake. With love I leave you and with love I will return. Till then remember: life is so much more than the paths we burn. And the very effort you make to climb a little higher up the mountain of life, to see and understand it a little better, will be rewarded by the view, as it becomes greater in and out of you.
