Phoenix. (Chapter Three)

Two months later.

Nothing had happened to me recently worth recording. I'm Amber, I'm an orphan, I hate my life.

I try to drift back into my own little world, where the sky is velvet and the sea if sapphire. Where I float upon a violet breeze.

I'm suddenly woken from my thoughts by a bright beautiful light. I open my eyes and look at my hand.
I'm on fire!
I see the green flames dancing around my fingertips, illuminating my rough nails and cracked skin. I desperately try to blow out the blaze but then, I stop.

The flames soothe me, not burn. I watched in awe as my rough nails etch themselves into perfect shapes. My cracked skin becomes moistured and tanned.

I watch the green flame as it recedes into my hand.

Then I burn.

My whole body burst into flames, scouring every inch of dirt and imperfection from my figure. I feel so... Alive.

The flames slowly float off my body and into the sky. I look down and see, standing no more than ten feet in front of me, Jonathan. With an expression of horror on his face. He turns, and runs.

"Wait", I cried. Then, I heard an ear-piercing scream. I run to Jonathan, only to find him on the floor, burning. Burning with green flame that melts his skin. I watch, paralysed with fear, until the flames recede. And etched on his charred face, a Phoenix.

@Kinuthia

Im just a guy who likes reading, writing and loves the beauty of words. How they can make you laugh, cry, and alter your way of thinking forever. Words simply fascinate me. I'm always writing and reading. It's nice to find an audience who share my interests. When you're young it's apparently not 'cool' to read and write. But I'm the sort of guy who doesn't really care if others think bad of him. Peace, love and beautiful words.
